Growing up in a predominantly Jewish suburb of Cleveland, Ohio, I was
introduced to my Grandmother's homemade Chicken Matzo Ball soup about
the same time I went from formula to solid food. What a treat to
enter her apartment and smell the slow simmer of fresh chicken and
vegetables. My sister and I used to stand over the pot as my
grandmother gently plopped the Matzo balls into the broth.
Some memories are indelible and recently I decided to replicate that
special culinary treat. So, I now offer "Just One Soup"; a warm,
friendly, healthy and hearty meal in a pot; same fresh chicken,
vegetables and perfect matzo balls that I grew up with a zillion years
ago.
Serves 8 to 10; left over's all week and freezes beautifully.
$60.00 for this yummy meal accompanied with a French baguette. Free
delivery and transferred from my pot to yours upon arrival.
A portion of my proceeds will be donated to the Santa Barbara Rescue
Mission, so it's a win/win for all.
PS... The image above is me at around 11 and my dog
Wishbone. Can't remember what's in that huge sack lunch I'm
holding; probably a gallon of Matzo ball soup! :-) The image
below that is as I am today with my dogs Dylan and Lucy.
